Second India-Arab Investment Projects Conclave 8th & 9th February 2010

Second India-Arab Investment Projects Conclave organised by FICCI in association with the Ministry of External Affairs, League of Arab States and the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture was held on 8th & 9th February, 2010 in New Delhi. H.E. Mr. Mohamed Ghassan Shaikho the Ambassador, Mr. Abdul Aziz Al – Kaabi Director of Industrial Development Ministry of Industry and Commerce of the Kingdom of Bahrain and Mr.Salah M. Al – Buflasah Counsellor represented the Kingdom of Bahrain in the Conclave. Inaugurating the Conclave H.E. Mr. Anand Sharma the Honorable Minister for Commerce and Industry of the Republic of India said that trade between India and the Arab nations would double by 2014 to around $230 billion. Speaking at the meeting, Minister of State for External Affairs Dr. Shashi Tharoor pointed out that an early conclusion of the India-GCC Free Trade Agreement would give an enormous boost to the economic engagement between India and the Arab world.
